Kyle Bush ('09, '10) works as a land surveyor and enjoys basketball. He and his wife, Stefanie (Paun, ’09, ’10), have one son, Emory. They attend Watermark Church in Tampa, Florida.

Patricia Williams (’09, ’10) is a stay-at-home mom with her daughter, Karis. She attends Everglades Baptist Church in Okeechobee, Florida.

Stephanie Borgia (’09, ’10) is studying to be a nurse with the hopes of serving on the mission field.  She attends Calvary Fellowship Church in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Jonathan Duckett (’09, ’10) is an intern at Crossroots City Church in Jacksonville, Florida, and involved in Media for Missions, a book business.

Derek Roberts ('10) is working at Lisbon Community Family Credit Union and Camp Good News in Livermore Falls while finishing his last year of college and serving as a teen youth leader at Lisbon Falls Baptist Church in Maine.

Mishaela Parker (’10, Hungary) is working on getting her teaching credential and on becoming an overseas missionary teacher.

Samuelle Champion (’10) is involved in student ministry and attends First Baptist Church of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.

Dawn Brooks (’10) is a nurse at Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia. She attends North Point Baptist Church and has three children: Geovana, David, and Julissa.

Rebekah Larsen ('10, '11) is working full-time while studying full-time online with Grace Bible College. She also works with the youth and music teams at her church, First Baptist Church of Bath in Maine.

Leonard Van Essendelft, Jr. (’10, ’11) is the youth pastor at Middle Island Baptist Church in Selden, New York, and works for Terminix. He is planning on attending seminary school.

Bethany Rose (’10, ’11) is studying social work at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. She attends Northridge Church in Rochester, New York.

Caleb Seibert (’10, ’11) works at Home Depot, is working on his bachelor’s degree online with Liberty University, and helps with the youth group at First Baptist Church of Philipsburg in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. He enjoys hiking, wood burning, and fellowshipping with friends.

Kristy Goodman (’10, ’11) is studying American sign language. She attends Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Josiah Brondyke (’10, ’11) is serving the Lord in the Midwest. He attends Fish Lake Bible Church in Sherman, Michigan.

Brittany Tanedo (’10, ’12) is a full-time nanny and a youth leader at Russell Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Graham Collins ('11) is on the ministry staff of Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Tricia Figueroa (’11) just received her medical assistant-phlebotomist certification and is looking for work. She attends Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland, Connecticut.

Andrew Kirk (’11, Jeju) is studying Biblical counseling at The Masters College in Santa Clarita, California.

Ethan and Brittany Wofford (’11) are praying about long-term overseas missions. Ethan is self-employed and involved at Rockbridge Community Church.

Lindsay Harbourne (’11) is studying nursing. She attends Westside Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ontario.

Bethany Davoll (’11) is graduating in May 2014 from Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. She attends Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, and La Conexión a la Esperanzo Una Iglesia Bautista in Ecuador.

Cameron Hoagland (’11) is living in Maryland and studying engineering with the goal of serving as a missionary. He attends Fredericktowne Baptist Church in Walkersville, Maryland.

Rebecca Chambers (’11, ’12) is interested in counseling and missions. She attends Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Benjamin Young (’11, ’12) is a student at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. He attends Crossroads Church in Middleburg, Florida.

Dale (’11, ’12) and Jennifer (Spiller) (’12) Williams were married on June 8, 2013. Dale works in residential construction, and Jennifer is a secretary at their local church, New Beginnings Baptist Church in Kennedy, New York.

Devin ('12) and Mollie (Burke) ('10) Graf were married October 20, 2014. Devin works for JetBlue and PrimeFlight Aviation Services at Greater Rochester International Airport. They both are coordinators at Connect, a teen outreach ministry at Open Door Baptist Church in Churchville, New York.

Abigail Barker (’12) is studying nursing. She met her fiancé at the Bible Institute. She attends Grace Brethren Church in Melbourne, Florida.

Alyssa Weigand (’12) is studying secondary history and English at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. She attends Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Alex Luedtke (’12) is working and studying at Trinity Bible College in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a youth leader at Crossroads Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida.

Krista Schmidt (’12) is studying secondary education at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. She attends Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Heather Woolley (’12) is studying psychology and counseling. She attends First Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, Florida.

Jeremiah Chapman (’13) and his wife, Leah, have three children: Arriah, Noah, and Hannah. They attend Woodstock Church in Jasper, Georgia. Jeremiah is studying for a pastorate position and is a student minister and a house parent at a group home.

Katherine Joseph (’13) is working and helps with child care at the Word of Life Olympians program at Heritage Baptist Church in Kentwood, Michigan.

Brad Smith (’99, ’00) is a student pastor at First Baptist Church of New Port Richey in Florida. He and his wife, Shallon, have two children: Emma (10) and Keirna (7).

Nathan Miles (’99, ’00) is a pastor at Potter Hollow Union Church in New York. He and his wife, Kristy, have four children: Lillian (8), Nathan (5), Hedia (2), and Asher (1).

Christopher Smith (’99, ’00) spent about 11 years in ministry, 5½ of them with Word of Life Local Church Ministries. He has four children: Jaxon (11), Conor (9), Lincoln (6), and Gracie (5).

Amanda (Steele) Leckvold (’00) teaches first grade. She and her husband, Stephen, have a newborn son, Isaiah.

Deborah Berruti ('00) is an occupational therapist working in a village-based hospital on the south side of the Sahara Desert with SIM, a missions organization, making a huge impact in the lives of the patients she treats.

Tanna (Kiahd) Bettle (’00, ’01) works as a customer service representative at a health insurance company. She is married to Brandon.

Karine (Radermaker) Cruse (’01) (Quebec) worked at a local rescue mission and is very involved in music ministry with the children’s choir at Westfield Evangelical Free Church in Westfield, Massachusetts. She owns a piano studio and teaches full-time. Her husband, John, is a pastor.

William Anthony ('01) and his wife, Ceressa, have three children: Zoe (7), Drew (4), and Lola (2). They attend Riverstone Community Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Isaac and Bethany (Gray) Brohinsky (’01, ’02) have two children: Elijah (6) and Benjamin (3). Isaac is a partner at a certified public accountant firm and a deacon. Bethany is a stay-at-home mom, a church secretary and treasurer, a photographer, and a reseller on eBay. They attend Westside Chapel in Jacksonville, Florida.

Austin and Nicole (Davis) Green (’01, ’02) attend First Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida. Austin is a youth and fundraising consultant for Christian schools. Nicole owns a freelance writing business and enjoys filming, theatre, and public speaking. They have three children: Alea, Caeden, and Sophia.

Debbie Frisbey (’01, ’02) is the founder and director of The Youth Center of White Cloud in White Cloud, Michigan, and a substitute teacher. She attends Aetna Calvary Church in White Cloud, Michigan.

John Melcon (’01, 02) is the director of enrollment at The Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California. He and his wife, Kelly, have two children: Mark (3) and Lyola (1).

Kelly (’01, ’03) and Kimberly (Nolan) (’10) Smith have been accepted as Word of Life missionaries to Japan and are raising support and building their prayer team. Kelly is working at Verizon Wireless and Kimberly is a stay-at-home mom to Lucas (1). They attend Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Jeff Nuckols (’02) is a pastor at Landmark Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He and his wife, Therese, have four children: Gabriel (8), Anna (6), Josiah (3), and Elijah (1).

Ken and Amanda (Williams) Marl (’02) have a son, Harper, who is almost 3 years old. Ken works at Bobs Red Mill in Oregon, and Amanda works for Life and Style Photography.

Melissa Maynard (’02) works in emergency medical services and attends Crossroads Community Church in Amsterdam, New York.

Kurt King (’02, ’03) does landscape maintenance, loves golf, and is involved in the young married ministry at Hibernia Baptist Church in Flemming Island, Florida. He and his wife, Karina, have four children: Jaden (7), Seth (6), Lydia (2), and Erik (2).

Faith (Wilkins) Torsey (’02, ’03) is working at Walmart and interested in photography. She attends Ashland Baptist Church in Ashland, New Hampshire.

Seth Heydinger (’02, ’03) is a missionary with Word of Life in Poland.

Rebecca Thompson (’02, ’04) is a neonatal intensive care registered nurse.

Shirley (Davis) O’Neill (’03) is a middle school teacher and works with high schoolers at North River Community Church in Pembroke, Massachusetts. She is married to Patrick.

Cindi (Warken) Schubert ('03) is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys doing crafts. She and her husband, Kurt, have twins: Mae and Luke (2).

Jacklyn (Feltz) (’03) and Clint Lain attend McKinney Memorial Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas, and have three children: Tori (11), Dylan (8), and Andrew (newborn).

Michael Seal (’03, ’04) is working full-time and is a seminary student at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He and his wife, Katie, have three children: Jonathan (5), Haddon (4), and Annabelle (1). They attend Meadow Springs Community Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Rebekah (Becky) Moman (’03, ’05) is living, working, and playing in Fairbanks, Alaska, and attends Friends Community Church in Fairbanks, Alaska. She is engaged to be married to Corey Sobah in spring 2014.

Alec and Jennifer (Headlee) Regalado (’04) have a daughter, Lydia (3). Alec works in construction and contracting. Jennifer is a supervisor at Starbucks and mentors other moms.

David McGinley (’04) serves as a minister of discipleship at Old Plank Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Joshua and Julie (Stromberg) Ely (’04, ’05) attend First Baptist Church of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. Joshua is a student director, and Julie is a stay-at-home mom to Logan (4), Muriah (3), and Ava (2).

Leonna Elam ('04, '05) is the programs manager at Ironworks Taekwondo Academy Inc. in Dunmore, Pennsylvania.

Miriam Ritchie (’04, ’05) is a freelance graphic designer, is involved at Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and is marrying Wayne Miller on July 12, 2014.

Andrea (Jennings) Nazarie (’05) and her husband, Claudiu, are Word of Life area missionaries in northwest Georgia. They have three children: Elliot (5), Micah (4), and Caleb (1). They attend First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia.

Jaclyn (Faisst) Quintero (’05, ’06) and her husband, Ramon, serve at Northbridge Church in Kalamazoo Township, Michigan with Hispanics, and teenagers. They have two children: Isabella (2) and Natalie (4).

Jennifer Gray (’05, ’06) is a part-time teller. She recently joined Quabbin Valley Pro Musica, a mixed-voice choral ensemble in Western Massachusetts. She attends Mission Covenant Church in Orange, Massachusetts.

Charles Love (’06) is studying teaching at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida, and is working at Panera Bread. He attends Old Plank Road Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Christopher Harris (’06) works as a pipefitter and coaches baseball, using it to spread Jesus. He and his wife, Shanna, have two children: Gage (6) and Bentlee (3). They attend First Baptist Church of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida.

Lindsey Ramirez (’06) is a case manager for a court and a leader for the 12th-grade small group at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Jasper, Georgia.

Krista (Samson) Seybolt (’06) is a student ministry secretary. She and her husband, Tim, have one daughter, Lily (2). They attend First Baptist Church in New Port Richey, Florida.

Rebecca Milliron (’06, ’07) is a teacher at Temple Christian School and attends Temple Baptist Church in Titusville, Florida.

Hillary Ellis (’06, ’08) runs the sound system for her church and helps with a youth program at another church.

James Presley (’08, ’09) is a full-time teacher and chef at a Christian school in Okeechobee, Florida. He attends Cornerstone Baptist Church in Okeechobee, Florida.

Justin Herron (’08, ’09) is a youth pastor. He’s pursuing a masters in divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Megan (Livingston), attend Crosswalk Community Church in Titusville, Florida.

Michael (’08, ’09) and Jennifer (King) (’09) Torres are involved in the young married ministry at Hibernia Baptist Church in Flemming Island, Florida, and are interested in returning to full-time ministry. They have two children: Michael and Lucas.

Jonathan Bubar ('89, '90) works in medical device sales. He and his wife, Cheryl, work with African refugees and have three children: Daniel (16), Drew (12), and Eloise (4). They attend First Baptist Church of Waldoboro in Waldoboro, Maine.

Ann (Towle) Jones ('89, '90) works for the United States Postal Service, is very involved in her church, and participates in missions trips to third-world countries. She is married to Michael and attends Bradford Baptist Church in Bradford, Maine.

Brent Parschauer (’90) enjoys reading, writing, and speaking. He and his wife, Shelly, have three children: Titus (16), Silas (13), and Lukas (8). They attend First Baptist Church of New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Shawn Morrow (’90, ’91) is a manager at a local supermarket. He and his wife, Sara, have six children: Ashton, Breanna, Kristen, Jordan, Joshua, and Sydney. They attend Crossroads Evangelical Free Church in Plymouth, Indiana.

Gordon Loop (’90, ’91) is a pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Dedham, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Beth-Eden, have three children: Micayla, Justin, and Wesley.

Dawn (Bach) Hartill ('91) is an information technology auditor for TD Bank. She and her husband, Daniel, have three children: Russell (17), Ryan (14), and Reagan (12). They attend East Auburn Baptist Church in Auburn, Maine.

Laurie (Shoemaker) Tilson (’91) and her husband, Bill, attend Southside Fellowship Abiding in Christ Church in West Henrietta, New York. Laurie homeschools their three children: Paul (14), Leah (12), and Hannah (10).

Wade and Kimberly (Morris) Peterson (’91) have two children: Rachel (19) and Abigail (10). Wade sings on the worship team at Community Bible Church in Cooperstown, New York.

Chris Chapman ('93) works at the Duke Energy Catawba Nuclear Plant, is a media director at Sisk Memorial Baptist Church, and owns an audio/video business called coMEDIAn Productions. He and his wife, Brandi, have two children: Devin (11) and Ayla (7).

Jonathan Anna ('93) is a police officer for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office in Syracuse, New York. He is a full-time single dad to Ethan (5). He attends Grace Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay, New York.

Darrell Black ('94) is a house parent at The Joy House, a ministry dedicated to restoring teenagers and families through Christ, in Jasper, Georgia, along with his wife, Elizabeth. They have two children: Matthew (9) and Lauren (7). They attend Foothills Community Church in Marble Hills, Georgia.

Paul Harbourne (’94) is a pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church in Collingwood, Ontario, and teaches at the Bible Institute in Owen Sound. He and his wife, Kim, have three children: Tyler, Lindsay, and Brendan.

Dan Saxton (’94, ’95) just graduated from Westminster Seminary California in Escondido, California, with a masters in historical theology. He is helping with a church plant and working at a local publishing company.

Jonathan Stansel ('94, '96) works in customer service for a web company. He is involved in children's and family ministry, the orchestra, and is a deacon at Open Door Baptist Church in Churchville, New York. He and his wife, Beth (Hannah, ’00), have four children with a fifth on the way in the summer of 2014: Madison (7), Logan (5), Payten (4), and Jaxin (3).

Valerie (Chase) Burton (’95) met her husband, Luke, at Liberty University. She currently homeschools seven of their 10 children.

Neil B. Nicholson (’96) is an attorney in Concord, New Hampshire, and is watching his children, ages 10 and 5, grow up too fast. Neil and his family are active members at Manchester Christian Church.

Tanya (Stewart) Monts (’96) teaches third and fourth grade and is involved at Madeira Baptist Church in Middleburg, Florida. She and her husband, Michael, have three children: Chandler (13), Dawson (8) and Lauren (5).

Melissa (Presciutti) Patrick ('96) and her husband, Jason, attend First Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, New York. She homeschools their three children: Andrew (11), Tyler (7), and Leanna (5).

Daniel Fauth (’96, 97) and his wife, Cheryl, have four children: Lydia (8), Jacob (4), Abigail (2), and James (infant). They attend Bible Baptist Church of Shiremanstown in Shiremanstown, Pennsylvania.

Kari Ferguson (’97) is an educational instructional coach. She and her husband, Richard, have two children: Lydia (8) and Noah (6).

Ralph Wilson, Jr. (‘97, ’98) is a pastor at Liberty Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. He and his wife, Sally, have two children: Emmalee (8) and Landon (5).

Tim ('97, '98) and Bethany (Wittmer) ('98, '99) Raymond have four children: Benjamin, Noah, Ethan, and Leah. Bethany is a full-time wife, mom, and home educator. She is very involved at Trinity Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana, where Tim has been the senior pastor since 2006. Tim is also an editor and occasional blogger for the Christian magazine Credo (credomag.com).

Casey Jebens (’98) is a head driver and trainer for Sherwood School District Transportation. He enjoys music and radio. He is married to Rachel.

Rachael (Zaicek) Macht (’98) is a teacher at EASTCONN, an organization that works with parents, communities, and schools to ensure all children are prepared for school success. She and her husband, Jeremiah, have one daughter, Grace, and attend Baptist Fellowship of Columbia in Columbia, Connecticut.

Melissa (Alan) Smith (’98) is a stay-at-home mom to Aubrey (3) and teaches Sunday School. She is married to Shawn.

C.W. Andy Anderson (’98) and his wife, Nancy, are area missionaries with Word of Life in Tampa, Florida. They attend South Tampa Fellowship in Tampa, Florida.

Brian and Valerie (Sharratt) Earl (’98) have three children: Timothy (11), Chloe (10), and Jeremiah (5). Brian enjoys basketball and football. He works in information technology support and is the worship leader at Christ Community Church in Tampa, Florida. Valerie is involved in children’s ministry at the church.

Jackie (Williams) Carver (’98) works at a bank and is involved in children’s ministry at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Jasper, Georgia. She and her husband, Mickey, have three children: Austin (18), Bethany (12), and Caroline (11).

Peter O. Ogilvie (’98) is a bereavement chaplain. He and his wife have five children: Peter G., Johan, Andrew, Hannah, and Mark. They attend Hope Community Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.

James and Stacy (Laird) Mindrup (’99) attend Faith Baptist Church in New Port Richey, Florida, and have three children: Charles (10), Jack (7), and Mekayla (6). James works in information technology.

Amanda (Fisher) Langworthy (’99) is a stay-at-home mom and a director with Thirty-One Gifts. Aaron (’99) plans to open a nonprofit deli and is the pastor of a house church.

Brad Smith (’99, ’00) is a student pastor at First Baptist Church of New Port Richey in Florida. He and his wife, Shallon, have two children: Emma (10) and Keirna (7).

Nathan Miles (’99, ’00) is a pastor at Potter Hollow Union Church in New York. He and his wife, Kristy, have four children: Lillian (8), Nathan (5), Hedia (2), and Asher (1).

Angela (Visserman) Cernilli (’80) works as a registered nurse in a doctor’s office. Her husband, Gene, is an engineer. They are involved in ministry at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, North Carolina. They have three children: Elise Martin, Michael, and Kristen.

John Carrel (’80) designs houses and has ministered for 28 years with Word of Life Olympians. He attends Heritage Baptist Church in Kentwood, Michigan. He has four children: Shaina (Shukee), Garren, Michael, and Brent.

Jane (Fawley) Slusher (’80) and her husband, David, have two children: Nathan and Adam. They attend Grace Community Church in Hudsonville, Michigan.

Penny (Relyea) Schlueter (’80) is a dental claims specialist for Aetna. She ministers at Baptist Church of Northville in Northville, New York, in music and in the nursery. She and her husband, Bob (Chip), have two children: Erin and Matthew.

Deborah (Anderson) Tingley (’80) works as a medical claims examiner, serves with the Gideons, and is on the finance committee at Living Stone Community Church in Standish, Maine. She and her husband, Lee, have two children: Erika (Smith) and Michael.

David Bailey (’81) is a business development manager for an international engineering and steel detailing company. He enjoys racing and bicycling. He and his wife, Melissa (Warner) (’81), have two children: Jonathan and Arianna.

John Maynard ('81) and his wife, Linda, are in their 34th year of ministry with Word of Life Local Church Ministries in Amsterdam, New York. They have three children: Aaron, Shaun, and Melissa. They attend Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gloversville, New York.

David and Amy (Niccum) Sciacca (’81) have a son, Charles. David is a truck driver, and Amy is involved in missions, helping others use the skills and abilities God has given them.

Pam (Smith) Kryger (’81) is a dental hygienist, a cancer patient counselor, and a cook for all events that happen at Berean Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She and her husband, John, have five children: Mandy, Like, Erika, Jared, and Emily.

James McMahon (’83) is an Army pilot who travels to “interesting” places. He and his wife, Tammy (’86), attend Garden Chapel in Middletown, Pennsylvania, and have three children: Joshua, Kaylee, and Kelsey.

Ed Henderson (’84) is involved in music and children’s ministry at Huber Heights First Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. He and his wife, Lori, have three children: Alyssa, Kelsie, and Molly.
 
Sherrie (Dickinson) Farnsworth (’84) homeschools two of her children, leads a ladies Bible study, and is a Bible quizzing coordinator. She and her husband, James, have four children: Donnie, Kelsey, Caleb, and Savannah. They attend Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky.

Tara (Goheens) Bubar ('84) works as a school lunch aide. She and her husband, David (’84), have two children: Brittney (17) and Ashley (15).

Barbara Thurlow (’84) attends Calvary Chapel of Canterbury in Scotland, Connecticut, and has two children: Danielle and Cynthia.

Cheryle Wight (’84) is a single mom working at a school for children with autism. She attends Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland, Connecticut, and has three children: Mishel, Amanda, and Matthew.

James Hardy ('85) is an airline mechanic at LaGuardia Airport in New York and is studying online with Liberty University. He attends Latham Bible Baptist Church in Latham, New York.

Bruce Wagner (‘86) teaches English at Nautilus Middle School in Miami Beach, Florida, and is an adjunct professor at South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He and his wife, Margaret, have five children: Sherry (Toonder), Rebekah (Hoskins), Leah, Elizabeth (Wright), and Sarah. They attend First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake.

John Jacobs (’86) is a civil engineer. He and his wife, Karen, attend Orchard Avenue Baptist Church in Vacaville, California. They have two children: Andrew and Amanda.

Karen (Bremmer) Ouellette (’86) is a registered nurse. She and her husband, Mel, have two children (both of whom have graduated from the Bible Institute): Monique and Michael. They attend Heritage Baptist Church in Kentwood, Michigan.

Peter and Debbie (Witherbee) Wallace (’86) are involved at Fredericktowne Baptist Church in Walkersville, Maryland, where Debbie is a piano teacher, youth leader, and director of music. Peter is involved in evangelism and discipleship.

Suzanna (Flowers) Adams (’86) and her husband, Nelson, have four children. They attend Clermont Baptists Church in Clermont, Florida.

Vonda (Kenyon) Cranfield (’86, ’87) works with special needs children and volunteers at a pregnancy care center. She and her husband, David, have two children: Joel and Courtney. They attend Grace Fellowship Church in Latham, New York.

Lee (’87) and Diane (Moore) (’86) Hamblen have six children: Peter, Sarah, Rebecca, Thomas, Anna, and Abigail. Lee is a children’s pastor at Island Christian Church in Northport, Long Island, New York.

Ashley (Gardner) Allen (’87) and her husband, Garth, a pastor at Loudonville Community Church in Loudonville, New York, have three children: Amanda (19), Cassidy (18), and Garth, Jr. (15).

Ken Mortensen ('87) and his wife, Vanessa, have three children: Ashely, Evan, and Brittany. They attend Life Church Jensen Beach in Jensen Beach, Florida.

Beth (Schermer) Ferguson (’87) works in graphic design and serves on the worship team at CrossWay Community Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is married to Kevin.

Kim Overholt (’87, ’88) is a public school teacher and works at Word of Life Ranch in the summer. She attends Heritage Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida.

Shawn and Travis (Ray) DeGraff ('88) are involved at their church, East Auburn Baptist Church in Auburn, Maine. They have three children: Cody, Peyton, and Megan.

RoJean (Paddock) Hayden (’88) is a custodian at First Baptist Church in Pavilion, New York. She and her husband, Kendall, have three children: Kyle, Kirk, and Kayli. RoJean homeschools two of them.

Dave and Denise (Rhoads) Richard (’88, ’89) attend First Baptist Church of Winter Garden in Winter Garden, Florida, and have three children: Brittany, Dan, and Samantha. Dave is a business owner and director of operations for Shiloh Adventure Camp. Denise is a full-time mom and has worked with teens for 20-plus years.

Gerry Horton (’89) is a children’s pastor at First Baptist Church in Keystone Heights, Florida. He and his wife, Kim, have three children: Andrew (18), Ethan (16), and Emily (13).

Robin (Navaretta) Macary (’89) and her husband, Peter, have three children: Hannah (13), Josiah (10), and Jordan (7).

Robert Stoudt ('89) works for a government contractor inspecting military trucks and helps with the youth group at Fellowship Baptist Church in Watertown, New York. He and his wife, Tammy, have six children: Micah (20), Sharayah (19), Dominic (18), Caleb (16), Noah (14), and Savannah (12).

Lorraine (Calder) Mahan (’72) and her husband, Ken, have three children: Shawn, Jeremy, and Jason. Ken is a leader at Above and Beyond Ministries. They attend Above and Beyond Community Church in Boca Raton, Florida.

Judy (Parschauer) (’73) is a musician at First Baptist Church in LaGrange, Ohio, and a music teacher. She and her husband, Charles, have three children: Aaron, Rebecca, and Charles.

Charlene Capron (’76) is working as an administrator for an insurance company. At her church, Calvary Baptist Church in Waterbury, Connecticut, she plays the keyboard, is the church clerk, and is on the missions committee. She is engaged to be married to a fellow student from her Word of Life Bible Institute year!

Arthur and Elaine (Kingman) Johnson (’76) have greenhouses and raise bedding plants, hanging plants, perennials, Christmas trees, etc., and have a ministry with the Amish. They have five adult children: Edward, BJ Charbonneau, Linda Anema, Marilyn Montesano, and John. They attend Hamburg Bible Church in Hamburg, Pennsylvania.

Rebecca (Baker) Raffo (’77) is a nursery director. She and her husband, David, have three children: Micah, Rachel, and Tabitha.

Chris Brown (’78) is a certified public accountant, owns his own business, and is an elder at Maranatha Bible Church in Comstock Park, Michigan. He and his wife, Gloria, have two children and are grandparents, too!

Francis and Patricia Welch (’78) are involved in a grief ministry and teach a life group. Patricia is a women’s speaker and writes ladies Bible studies. They attend Northcliffe Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Florida.

Tammy Hicks (’79) is an executive assistant at Raymond James in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Thomas and Ruthie Becker (’79) attend Grace Fellowship Church in Latham, New York. They have two children: Matthew and Joshua. Ruthie enjoys gardening, nursing, singing, and decorating.

Karen (Jesser) Zitta (’79) works at the WYMC as a swim instructor and is interested in real estate. She and her husband, Franklin, Jr., have four children: Hannah, Faith, Franklin III, and Joseph. They attend Grace Baptist Church in North Dinwiddie, Virginia.

Daniel (’10) and Sonia (Johnston) Bacon (’09) are moving to Northern Ireland and are expecting their first child. Sonia recently qualified as a phlebotomist but is not yet working.

Jay Sanders (’09, ’10) is the church and school relations coordinator for the Bible Institute’s Florida campus. He also works at summer camp in Florida. He would like to remind alumni that Jesus+Nothing=Everything.

Kyle Bush (’09, ’10) is a youth pastor at Faith Baptist Church. He is married to the “best woman” ever, Stefanie Paun (’09, ’10).

Nicholas Charlton (’09, ’10) is married to Rachel (Macey) Charlton (’09, ’10). Nicholas is an admissions representative for Baptist Bible Seminary. He teaches an adult Sunday School class at a small church plant in the area and preaches on occasion. He is interested in ministering in marriage and family counseling in the future. Rachel is a stay-at-home mom to their daughter, Marianne (7 months), and she loves it! She works in the nursery at the church.

Adam Davenport (’09, ’10) is in the Word of Life Intern Discipleship Program. He reminds alumni to have fun, make memories, and preach the Gospel.

Kevin O’Boyle (’09, Owen Sound; ’10, New York) is serving as the assistant dean of men at the Bible Institute’s Owen Sound campus. He would like to remind alumni to be excellent to each other. He recently joined the Bible Institute’s Alumni Council.

Daniel Bacon (’09, ’10) is moving with his wife, Sonya, to Northern Ireland.

Adam (’10) and Mana (Koyano) (’09) Yoder just welcomed Sho to their family. Adam is also a sales manager.

Michael Kilbride (’09, ’11) is a Local Church Ministries missionary with Word of Life in central Virginia.

Collis Bryant (’09, ’11) is doing as much acting as possible while studying theater at Baptist Bible College. He says his best year was 2009-2010, when he was on the Impact Team ministering, building relationships, and working in a variety of settings.  He would like to remind alumni that “God’s got this.”

Tyler Anderson (’10) is co-director of The King's Players, a touring repertory theater company that focuses on Christian drama and ministry at Liberty University.

Diego Alvarez (’10) is the pastoral assistant at First Baptist Church and is working at a warehouse. He reminds alumni that they exist to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all the peoples.

Brianna Anspach (’10) works at Hershey’s Chocolate World and will return to Word of Life for summer camp. She is studying online with Liberty University.

Josiah Brondyke (’10) is a discipleship coordinator at the Bible Institute’s Florida campus.

Kendra Burch (’10) is working to pay off loans and raising support to go back to Brazil.

Ben Garner (’10) is studying at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He works as a taxidermist and is an excavator operator. He encourages alumni to get involved.

Sierra George (’10) is working and is a youth leader at her local church. She is hoping to go back to school, possibly to do second year at the Bible Institute.

Courtney Keller (’10) is working full time as a secretary at an optometrist’s office and helps in the youth ministry department at her local church. She reminds alumni that if God opens the door, go through it and trust Him to provide.

Hilary Kline (’10) is going to Uruguay with Avant Ministries to plant national churches.

Kyle Ierley (’10) is at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, pursuing a master of theology.

Dave Nolan Jr. (10) is working toward being in full-time ministry in Asia using English and skateboarding.

Daniel Reed (’10) is working on a masters in divinity at Baptist Bible Seminary. He encourages alumni to pursue Jesus Christ above all else to be complete and totally satisfied.

Amber Richards (’10) is studying nursing at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. She encourages everyone to remember that in everything, God is good, and what He does is good.

Joshua Salinas (’10) is working a construction job in New Hampshire and preparing financially for future ministry in Argentina.

Amanda Stancavage (’10) is a missionary intern with Word of Life Japan.

Amber Roman (’10, ’11) is a resident leader at the Bible Institute’s Florida campus in the admissions department.

Amber Ruhstorfer (’10, ‘11) lives at home and is working at a home for mentally challenged adults. She is involved in the youth group and the nursery and is a gym leader in a kids’ program.

Rchel Petz (’10, ’11) is at Baptist Bible College, studying early childhood and elementary education. She hopes to head into missions after graduation.

Najara De Moura (’10, 11) is majoring in counseling at Baptist Bible College and hopes to use her education to help abused children in the United States or India.

Maggie Faulkner (’10, ’11) is graduating from Baptist Bible College with a bachelors in counseling in 2013. She is looking into missions in Berlin.

Brittany Fraedo (’10, ’11) is studying counseling at Baptist Bible College.

Morgan Garber (’10) is working as a mental health director support specialist at Community Service Group.

Elizabeth Gray (’10) is studying nursing at Liberty University.

Kristy Miller (’10, ’11) is a full-time student with Liberty University online and teaches preschool and AWANA Sparks at her local church.

Virginia Johnson (’11) is a manager at McDonald’s. She’s working to be free of debt so she can go to the mission field full time.

Rachel Hope Knaus (’11) is teaching English as a second language while studying at Liberty University.

Josh Russo (’11) is a student at Liberty University. He is helping Dwight and Diana Willard with Local Church Ministries in Connecticut and New Hampshire.

Aaron Spoonhour (’11) is working full time and is a youth group leader.

Bethany Yeaton (’11) works at a nursing home in Concord, New Hampshire. She plans to start nursing school this fall and is a youth group leader at Epsom Bible Church. She was a unit leader at Word of Life Inn & Family Lodge this summer.

Gabby Baird (’11) is at Baptist Bible College. She cleans house for two ladies and finds this to be a great witnessing opportunity.

Nick Ford (’11) is a youth pastor and a paraprofessional (assistant teacher) at a local middle school.

Anna Grooms (’11) is studying elementary education at Baptist Bible College and this fall will be a resident assistant in the dorm. She is the ministry director at her local church. In the summer she was involved in Vacation Bible School.

Kelly Ionno (’11, Owen Sound) is studying nursing and will graduate in December 2013.

James McGowan (’11) works as the site director at The Lion’s Den Youth Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. The center’s mission is to create a safe place for kids to encounter Christ. He married Amy Parks last November.

Sean Villanueva (’11) is the program director at The Lion’s Den. He says, “Ministry is so much different once you’re outside of Word of Life Bible Institute, but the foundation there makes you firm.”

Mickey Gonzalez (’12) is working at a photography studio. He is practicing the guitar in the hopes of soon performing. He makes videos for YouTube and is teaching himself video photography skills.

Chloe Hossann (’12) is at community college and is working. She asks for prayer as she works at encouraging a small group of teenagers to get together.

Jocelyn Levesque (’12) is studying cosmetology and working with the junior high youth group at her church. She reminds alumni to have good Christian friends who will build and encourage them.

Amber Liotus (’12) is a waitress and is studying online with Liberty University. She plans to receive a bachelor of science in religion by September. She is pursuing teaching English as a foreign language, as she wants to reach the Asian people via the English language. She encourages everyone to be a missionary in the workplace.

Cameron McLean (’12, Owen Sound) is working at an auto parts factory and is involved in youth work at his home church while saving up for training as a missionary. He would like to tell alumni from his year that he misses them all.

Jim Morrison (’12) is finishing up his degree at Baptist Bible College.

Amanda Ord (’12) is marrying the love of her life. She works and is involved in building relationships with the youth in her church.

Sarah Rummenie (’12, Owen Sound) is a children’s ministry leader at her local church in Midland, Ontario. She would like to share with alumni that she feels that local church is where it’s at. She says that it’s hard but so needed in North America. She sees the importance of discipling children and said she never had someone disciple her until she was at the Bible Institute.

Courtney (Bingman) Stephens (’00) is a stay-at-home mom planning a camp/family enrichment ministry for the future. She has a children’s book published and is working on a novel. She and her husband, Mackenzie, are talking about planting a church in central Ohio. They have two children: Bethsaida (3) and Rayah (18 months).

Adam Rushlow (’00, ’02) is working in Texas and serving with Christ Fellowship. He and his wife, Joanna (MacQueen) (’03), have three children: Maija (4), Zoe (2), and Dane (2 months).

Margaret A. Truxell (’01) is studying business administration and finances through Liberty University distance learning and is working as a chef at the Bible Institute’s Florida campus.

Joshua (’02) and Megan (Lefler) (’01, ‘02) Bean have two children: Matthew (5) and Malachi (2). Megan is a homemaker, homeschools their children, and is involved in women’s ministry. Joshua is a training coordinator for corrections, court security, and civil process at Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. He is active in missions and children’s ministry at Forest Baptist Church in Forest, Virginia.

Jessalyn (Pitzer) Powell (’02, ’03) works at Hobby Lobby and is a features reporter at the Kokomo (Indiana) Herald.

Vincent (’02) and Joanna (Cameron) (’98, ’99) Sensenig are youth leaders in their local church. Vincent works as a painter. They have six children: Nichole (12), Bekah (10), Tori (9), Vince (7), Nathan (5), and Danielle (3).

Jordan Miller (’03, ’04) is married to Stephanie and works at Liberty University as an admissions counselor.

Joseph Pine (‘03, ‘04) is a youth pastor working toward a masters in theological studies. He is in the Army Reserves.

Sonia Jacot (’03, ’04) is married to Gary, who works as a customer service representative for a portable toilet company and serves however he can at his local church. Sonia is a stay-at-home wife, has a transportation ministry, and enjoys encouraging the women at her local church.

Josh (’04) and Amanda (Goodrow) Mellinger (’06) have a daughter, Evylyn (3). Josh works as a chef.

Rodrigo (’05) and Annie (Christ) Bender (’99) met at Word of Life. Rodrigo now serves as assistant pastor of Mountain Stream Baptist Church in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. They say that Word of Life was transforming and some of the best years of their lives. They have two children: Dominic (3) and Dylan (1½).

Nicole (Rank) Weidman (’05) is working at an immunology lab. She loves spending time with her husband, Phillip, and scrapbooking.

Jeremy Fogle (’06) works for a fire sprinkler design company.

Jason (’06) and Martine (Renaud) (’06, Quebec) Goudy are missionaries with Parole de Vie (Word of Life) in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Martine also works as a nurse at a local hospital.

Sarah Nippert (’06) is the assistant director of enrollment services at Baptist Bible College and Seminary. She would like to remind everyone to not give up, to keep going, and to keep serving.

Jacob Donald Smith (’06, ’08) is participating in the World Race in September. The race is a stretching journey into 11 countries in 11 months to serve “the least of these” among real and raw community. Jacob says, “Stepping out in faith for two years and being a missionary was the best thing ever.”

Sarah (Wilcken) Davis (’07) is married to Will Davis. They are pursuing ministry opportunities while serving at Roots Youth with Sparta Evangelical Free Church, which seeks to develop students who actively engage Christ in their world.

Laura Evison (’07) (Owen Sound) serves as a graphic design artist at the Bible Institute’s Owen Sound campus.

Joshua and Jennifer (Robbins) Brown (’07, ’08) are preparing to plant a church in the Northeast. Joshua is studying at Southwestern Baptist Seminary, and Jennifer works on campus.

Randy (’07, ’08) and Kylie (Leckrone) (’08, ’09) Curtis are both working at Meijer in Rockford, Michigan. They attend Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, Michigan, and are looking to be missionaries with New Tribes Mission.

Janessa (Barrett) Skiles (’07, ’08) works at Gladney Center for Adoption, caring for birth mothers making an adoption plan. Her husband, Shaun, is preparing to be youth/associate pastor.

Derrick Wilson (’07, ’08) is attending Southwestern Theological Seminary and is working as a carpenter. His wife, Christina (Plantt) Wilson (’07, ’08), just graduated from Southwestern with a bachelors in humanities with a missions focus. She is helping teach seventh-grade girls in a youth group.

Jaime Goodrow (’08) graduated from Baptist Bible College with a bachelors in education. She is a fifth- and sixth-grade teacher at Mountainside Christian Academy and loves it!

Janelle (Pratt) Corrales (’08) is teaching at Grace Christian School and is involved at Grace Bible Church.

Brian Rosohac (’08) in an automotive technician and is married to Sarah.

Luke (’08) and Erin (Kelly) (’09) Lacey are Word of Life missionaries going to serve the Lord in South Africa. They encourage alumni to tell others about the Bible Institute.

Brian Berger (’08, ’09) is a youth pastor. He’s excited that three girls from the youth group were saved at Snow Camp this year.

Christie (Whitney) Davis (’08, ’09) graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a bachelors and is working fulltime on campus. Her husband, Michael, is the youth pastor at their local church.

Paige (Emond) Johnston (’08, ’09) is an event coordinator with Silver Fox Steakhouse and works closely with her husband, Tyler, who is a pastor with lifechurch.tv. She graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Kelsey (Holmes) Porter (’08, ’09) has almost completed her bachelors in business and is teaching high school Sunday School with her husband, Josiah.

David Rineer (’08, ’09) is doing an internship as a pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and is a fulltime student at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale.

Rachel (Boddie) Salinas (’08, ‘09) is traveling with her husband, Joshua (’08, ’10), as he does masonry/restoration for national parks and historical buildings. She works as a nanny and is involved in choir and senior youth group. She also teaches a 4-to-6-year-old Sunday School class.

William Travis McNeely (’08, ’10) is an intern at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He works as a waiter at a Mexican restaurant and is a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He would like to remind alumni that God is faithful, and Texas is the best state in the union.

Emily Arnett (’09) works as a nanny and in the photography business. She is a Sunday School teacher and a youth group leader, and she runs a Bible study for college-age girls.

Elizabeth Cox (’09, Brazil) is a junior allied health major at Cedarville University and plans to go to graduate school to study physical therapy.  She is on the school soccer team.

Kurt Goglin (’09) and his wife, Amanda, along with their two sons, Elijah (8) and Ezekiel (4), were  recently appointed missionaries with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism to Lima, Peru, where they will minister through Biblical counseling, theological education, and church planting. They live in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, where they teach in the youth group, lead Bible study, and do biblical counseling.

Travis Smith (’09) is involved with the young people at his church and enjoys cycling. He spent three months volunteering at the Bible Institute’s Jeju campus.

Daniel (’10) and Sonia (Johnston) Bacon (’09) are moving to North Ireland and are expecting their first child. Sonia recently qualified as a phlebotomist but is not yet working.

Jay Sanders (’09, ’10) is the church and school relations coordinator for the Bible Institute’s Florida campus. He also works at summer camp in Florida. He would like to remind alumni that Jesus+Nothing=Everything.

Kyle Bush (’09, ’10) is a youth pastor at Faith Baptist Church. He is married to the “best woman” ever, Stefanie Paun (’09, ’10).

Nicholas Charlton (’09, ’10) is married to Rachel (Macey) Charlton (’09, ’10). Nicholas is an admissions representative for Baptist Bible Seminary. He teaches an adult Sunday School class at a small church plant in the area and preaches on occasion. He is interested in ministering in marriage and family counseling in the future. Rachel is a stay-at-home mom to their daughter, Marianne (7 months), and she loves it! She works in the nursery at the church.

Adam Davenport (’09, ’10) is in the Word of Life Intern Discipleship Program. He reminds alumni to have fun, make memories, and preach the Gospel.

Kevin O’Boyle (’09, Owen Sound; ’10, New York) is serving as the assistant dean of men at the Bible Institute’s Owen Sound campus. He would like to remind alumni to be excellent to each other. He recently joined the Bible Institute’s Alumni Council.

Collis Bryant (’09, ’11) is doing as much acting as possible while studying theater at Baptist Bible College. He says his best year was 2009-2010, when he was on the Impact Team ministering, building relationships, and working in a variety of settings.  He would like to remind alumni that “God’s got this.”

Randall is serving at Plainfield Bible Church and works at MSD Decatur Schools as the head custodian. Donna is a café manager at the school, teaches Sunday School, and works with the Word of Life Olympian program.

Patti (Norton) Christian (’90, ’91) is a full-time mom to Cole (11), Brett (9), Kaeli (7), and Luke (4).

Bruce Graham (’91) is married and lives in Epsom, New Hampshire. He is a craftsman in wood, leather, and stone and a weaving instructor at Jesse Remington High School, a small Christian high school in Candia, New Hampshire.

Albert (’91) and Marisa (Mosely) ('83) Irizarry have two children, Eric and Megan. Albert works in radiation protection at a nuclear power plant, and Marisa is a homemaker.

Helder Seabra (’91) is a software developer at Online Computer Library Center and enjoys basketball and golf. He and his wife, Kara, have four children: Kayla (14), Isaac (11), Ty (10), and Luke (3).

Laurie (Shoemaker) Tilson (’91, ’92) and her husband, Bill, have three children: Paul (13), Leah (12), and Hannah (10). Laurie, a homeschool mom, attends Southside Fellowship Abiding in Christ Church and supports those who have Lyme disease with information and the love of Christ.

Jerry Ledwell (’92) is self-employed and living in Welcome, North Carolina.

David (’92, ’93) and Julie (McCullough) Burch (’93) work for JandJ Carpet and Floor Covering and have two children, Ethan (11), and Kayla (7).

Steve (’93) and Tracy (Miklos) (’93) Cole have four children: Caleb (17), Elizabeth (16), Ben (14), and Kate (9). Steve works for Alex Lee Inc., and Tracy works at a pregnancy care center.

Jonathan Steel (’93) is a corrections officer, is involved in youth ministry, and has three children.

Bill and Joan (Mardis) Kline (’93) have three children: Keith, Colette, and William. Bill is the coordinator for Seasoned Saints Information Center at church, and Joan counseled at a detention center for six years.

Daniel (’93) and Sherri (Longnecker) (’94) Lethers are pre-field missionaries to Togo, West Africa, with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. They plan to work with Hope Radio, which broadcasts into four countries and reaches people in their homes in a way that few mediums can.

Robert Makin (’94) is a traffic and shipment coordinator at the warehouse for Ocean State Job Lot. He is a deacon and an AWANA director for the third- to sixth-grade boys.

Scott (’94) and Christy (Koonts) (’94) Benson met at Word of Life and have two children: Emma (12) and Maelynn (10). Christy works as a bookkeeper from home.

Brian (’94, ’95) and Lynn (Underhile) (’95) Baker serve with Word of Life Local Church Ministries and have three children: Courtney (11), Allison (7), and Corbin (7).

Krista (Abney) McGee (’94, ’95) is writing, serving in women’s and music ministries at church, and teaching English and musical theater at a Christian school. She is married to Dave McGee (’93, ’95).

Dawn (Wayson) Martin (’95) just married Phil Martin (’98, ’99) and works at the Word of Life Inn & Family Lodge.

Noelle (Gernert) McCusker (’95) and her husband, Michael, have four children: Melody (13), Abigail (11), Ian (9), and Maeghan (7). She is a stay-at-home mom who is homeschooling their children. She enjoys inductive Bible studies and is involved in the church choir.

Tom Atema, Jr. (’95) works at Atema Partners, which provides audio visual support for corporate meetings all around the world. He and his wife, Angie, have two children: John Thomas (7) and Lily (2). He often finds himself quoting someone or something that he learned at the Bible Institute and finds it amazing how God can bring something to mind that he heard or read just when he needs it most.

Peter McCusker (’96) works for Liberty Channel, the television station for Liberty University.

Scott B. Leger (’96) is a finish carpenter and father of four.

Joel (’97) and Jamie (Spearman) (’97) Banister met at the Bible Institute and have four children: Maggie (8), Mary Jane (6), William (3), and Nathan (almost 1 year). Joel is an auditor, and Jamie is a stay-at-home mom.

Brent Manuel (’97) works in software training. He enjoys computer programming, traveling, golf, basketball, and softball.

Joshua Snyder (’97) is an elder, a praise team leader, a keyboard player, and a youth leader at his local church. He is also a city carrier for the United States Postal Service. He enjoys camping and fishing. This winter was his first time back on campus in 15 years. He says it is still a great place, centered on God’s Word, with the exciting atmosphere he remembers.

Melanie McGibbon (’97, ’98) works at Walmart and is a Word of Life missionary to Argentina.

Adam (’98) Bottiglia is working on a doctorate in philosophy, and Christina (Ramey) (’00) Bottiglia is a dean’s assistant at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Michael Lechleitner (’98) works for Lifeway Christian Stores as a store manager. He graduated from Liberty University in 2011. He and his wife, Holly, have four children: Adam (12), Nathan (11), Abigail (9) and Alyssa (7).

Diane (Boyer) Dorman (’80) and her husband, David (’78, ’80), have three children: Katie, Laura, and Andrew. Diane works in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and for United Road Services and Insagenix. She volunteers in her community.

Tammy Brown (’80) is a professor at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She has four children: Sarah (28), Heather (24), Erin (21), and Elysabethe (21).

Melody (Urban) Harper (’80) is a registered nurse. She and her husband, Ronald, have five children: Joshua (25), Rebekah (23), Zachariah (22), Josiah (20), and Melody Joy (18).

Paul and Kim (Eshelman) Barreca (’80) live in Vineland, New Jersey, where Paul has been the teaching pastor at Faith Bible Church for the past 11 years. They have three married children and four grandchildren. They are thankful for the opportunities God has given them to frequently go to Word of Life Philippines, where Paul is blessed to teach at the Bible Institute.

Jackie (Laub) Osborn (’80) has seven children: Joy (30), Kristi (27), Dana (25), Ben (19) Joel (18), David (15), and Julia (11). Joy went to the Bible Institute in 2002, and Kristi in 2006 and 2007.

Deb (Grube) Garner (’81) is involved at her church with the women’s committee. She and her husband, Keith, are involved in the young adult Sunday School class. She enjoys Bible study and being available for friends.

Tracey (Kaufman) Patterson (’81) is a sports fanatic raising three children with her husband, Tim: Casey (24), Trenton (22), and Caitlyn (19). She graduated from Liberty University in 1989, where she met Tim, who played football there from 1986-1988. They lived in Indiana for 20 years before moving back to Lynchburg in 2009.

Keith Taylor (’81) works as a youth director in his church. He and his wife, Carol, have four children: Tricia (24), Luke (22), Jessica (21), and Kimberly (19).

Mark (’82) and Janell (Murray) (’81, 82) Frazier met at the Bible Institute. Mark is an engineering draftsman, and Janell is an accountant.

Dwight (’82) and Ruby (Murphy) (’82) Stone have two children: Aimee (26) and Amanda Everett (23). Dwight is a youth worker at Heritage Baptist Church and is a self-employed home improvement contractor. Ruby is a teacher’s assistant for special needs students at a local elementary school and is involved in children’s ministry at her local church.

David (’82, ’84) and Becky (Wood) (’82) Wing have two children: Courtney (Wing) Wing (27) and Hanna (21). David is working as a glass manufacturer. Becky works part time for a local chiropractor and has also spent time in a county group home as a house parent, serving at-risk kids. David and Becky love spending time with their grandson.

Naomi (Janho) Etchison (’83) is an international student coordinator at Aurora Christian School. She and her husband, Scott, have four children: Ruth (19), Kelly, (17), Mary (16), and Noah (13).

Chris and Roxanne (Tibbetts) Young (‘83) have three children: Lindsey (26), Bethany (26), and Aaron (22).  Chris is involved in youth ministry and enjoys the outdoors and hunting. Roxanne is involved with the eighth-grade girls at church and works with the elderly. Together they counsel young couples getting married (Marriage Savers).

Ron Glessner (’84, ’85) is an executive for Zook Molasses/Good Food Inc./L and S Sweeteners. At his home church, he is involved in teaching young people and adults and is part of church leadership. His interests are his family, leadership, motorcycling, and the outdoors. He and his wife, Lisa, have four children: Taylor (17), Ben (15), Kaylee (11), and Josh (9).

Phil Moser (’86) is serving at Fellowship Bible Church.  He is married to Kym, and they have four children: Ashlyn (20), Adam (16), Anna (14), and Asa (7).

Deron (’86) and Beth (Burke) (’88) Peterson have three children: Samuel (15), Isaiah (9), and Anastasia (5).

Karen Taylor (’86) has worked in food services for the Pennsylvania Turnpike for 25 years. She likes to travel and does volunteer work at her home church.

Karen (Norton) Warren (’86, ’87) and her husband, Nick, have two children: Kyra (13) and Troy (6).

Anne (Halbert) Wieder (’87) has a large private piano studio where she teaches children piano lessons. She is involved with worship ministry, ladies ministry, and teaching ladies Bible study each week.

Thomas (’87) and Shannon (Snell) (’87) Carroll have two children: Daniel (16) and Jessica (12). Shannon is homeschooling their children and is an AWANA leader.

Mary (Price) Homoelle (’87) and her husband, David, have five children: Mary Jo (19), George (17), Sam (15), Benjy (12), and Davis (10).

Kelly Lanette Easton (’88) is involved in her local church, singing in the choir and helping with the Word of Life Gopher Buddies program. She has two children, Andrew (18) and Keagan (4), whom she leads and teaches with the Word of God.

Troy owns and operates Troy Good Contracting LLC in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.  He enjoys hunting and any activities with his family. He encourages alumni to take full advantage of opportunities and not to get sidetracked by a rule or two they don’t like.

Randall is serving at Plainfield Bible Church and works at MSD Decatur Schools as the head custodian. Donna is a café manager at the school, teaches Sunday School, and works with the Word of Life Olympian program.

Alumni News: 1970s.

Michael Jessee (’71) and his wife, Carrie, have three children: Rachel, Matthew, and Robin. He loves golf, ministers through financial counseling, and is self-employed.

Ann (Mound) Wood (’72) has been a Hudson Falls (New York) school bus attendant for 13 years. She makes wordless books, wordless bracelets, cross stitch bookmarks, and wordless cross pins for missionaries. She is involved with Gideon’s International.

Ginny Newton (’73) is working in the academics department at the Bible Institute’s Florida campus. She is excited to meet alumni when they come through.

Carla Gray (’74) is the assistant dean of women at the Bible Institute’s New York campus. She is thankful the Bible Institute taught her to schedule her Quiet Time each day, which has changed her life.

Hal J. Russell (’74) is a pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Sewell, New Jersey. He and his wife, Cindy, have one daughter, Shawna (27).

Marshall Wicks (’74) is a resident professor at the Bible Institute’s Florida campus. He encourages alumni to send students.

Rick (’74) and Linda (Bollback) Warken (’75) have served with Word of Life for 37 years. Their recent interests involve grandchildren and family!

Nathan Myers (’75) is retired and working in the sound room at church. He is married to Joyce.

Dave Rich (’75) is a part-time staff member with Missions International, a missions agency that focuses on Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He partners with a church in Nadvira, Ukraine, and helps with summer camp, remodeling the church, and assisting in evangelism with their church plant. He is also an investor and an adult Sunday School teacher at his local church. He and his wife, Cheryl, have two children: Jennifer Clark (28) and Jonathan Rich (25).

David King (’76) works at Walmart. He and his wife, Cyndi, have three children: Elizabeth (24), Stephen (22), and Phillip (20).

Joanne (Chamberlain) Carver (’76) and her husband, David, have three children: David, Daniel, and Debra. Joanne, a retired school nurse teacher, has been a hospice volunteer for 10 years, sings in a community chorus, and teaches ladies Bible study at Grace Bible Fellowship.

Caroline (Sims) Jones (’76) is married to David, and she just finished 17 years of homeschooling their four daughters. Their third daughter, Olivia, graduated from the Bible Institute in 2012. Daughter No. 4, Caroline, will attend the Bible Institute this fall. David is a Navy psychologist and became the executive officer of the James Lovell Federal Health Care Center in Chicago this summer.

Dana Towle (‘78) is a youth pastor at Midway Bible Church.

Sharon (Ulrich) Avila (’78) is working part time in food services at a retirement community and is active in her local church. She and her husband, Jorge, have one child, Daniel (21).

Christian Kendig (’78) graduated from Capital Bible Seminary in 1996 with a masters of divinity. He is now retired after working 25 years at a retirement community. He is a chaplain for Campsite Evangelism and is a Lancaster County Aquarium Club member.

Glenda Martin (’78) is a wife, mom, grandmother, and registered nurse. She is involved in women’s ministry. She and her husband, Wayne, have two grown daughters: Stephanie Orlowski and Kristin Buird.

Tamera (Champlin) Buffington (’79) works in accounts receivable at the Step Lively Foot and Ankle Center. She and her husband, Scott, have two children: Levi (14) and Jesse (10).

Linda (Miller) Davenport (’79) and her husband, David, a pastor, have three children: Amber (28), Craig (27), and Ryan (25). She teaches children’s church and serves with AWANA. The Lord laid on her heart to organize outreach at the fair, where they have seen many come to Christ.

Mark Trostle (’79) is a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea. He and his wife, Estella, have two children: Tim (16) and Micah (13).

Dennis Ulrich (’79) and his wife, Joyce, have three children: Brian (25), Lynne (24), and Emily (21).

Linda (Ramsey) Wollbrink (’79) and her husband, Larry, have two children: Joseph (20) and Chris (18). She is an instructor at Centra College of Nursing.

Diane (Boyer) Dorman (’80) and her husband, David (’78, ’80), have three children: Katie, Laura, and Andrew. Diane works in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and for United Road Services and Insagenix. She volunteers in her community.

Staff News: Euanna Pigford.

Euanna Pigford, who has served with Word of Life in some way for the past 47 years, finished up as the Bible Institute’s music coordinator in May and will retire from Word of Life at the end of this summer.

Euanna started with Word of Life in the summer of 1965, when she first attended the Island as a camper. She has been involved with Word of Life ever since. She sang in the Word of Life ensemble and was a counselor on the Island for several summers before helping lead the counselor program.

Euanna loved music since she was a little girl. She wanted to take piano lessons, so for her seventh birthday, her parents bought her a piano and arranged for lessons. In eighth grade, all her friends started to quit playing the piano, so she thought she should do that, too. Her father told her that wasn’t an option, so she stuck to it.

After becoming a school teacher and teaching young people of all ages, Euanna also served in several churches, leading choirs. She accepted a position teaching voice at Adirondack Community College and assumed she would be doing that for the rest of her working career, but when her friend, Brian Donley, the music director at the Bible Institute, became ill, she was asked to help out and led the program after Brian went home to be with the Lord.

Euanna has loved working with the students at the Bible Institute. She says, “My job is to prepare students for service after the Bible Institute.” She knows that God has placed us where we are for a reason, and that we never know how He will use us. She has had an incredible influence in the lives of thousands of young people.

I have so many incredible memories of serving with her on the Island, enjoying her piano and organ talents at the Inn, and watching her love and lead the Bible Institute Collegians. Staff News: Sharon Wagoner.

The New York campus is saying goodbye to a familiar face this year. Sharon Wagoner, who has been with the Bible Institute since 1985, is retiring after serving as school’s registrar since July 1997. Before that, she was the assistant dean of women in New York for 12 years.

Sharon was also active in her local church, Mountainside Bible Chapel, where she served as the church clerk and in the ladies missionary fellowship. Sharon is now heading to Sarasota, Florida.

"Sharon was an encourager to me as a co-worker. She enjoyed the academic process and took the administrative load off of me so I could focus on the classroom. She was serious when it came to accuracy in office procedures but personable to staff and students as the job was being accomplished. We will miss her pleasant efficiency and crafty comments!” — Dr. Tom Davis

Bruce Compton (’75) has served 30 years with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

Melanie Bennett (’78) is a reading specialist serving at community centers in inner-city Lansing, Michigan.

Caroline (Sims) Jones (’76) graduated with a degree in Biblical Counseling from Christian Heritage College, where she met her husband, a Navy captain. They have four daughters, whom she homeschooled from start to finish. One is a senior and another graduated from the Bible Institute last year.

Linda (Klump) Moser (’76) works in the kitchen of a local school. She and her husband are very involved with college-age adults at their church. Her youngest song graduated from the Bible Institute in 2010.

Sylinda (Birchard) Alfred (’78) homeschools her children. Four of the five have graduated. She is a leader in a homeschool support group.

Linda (Ramsey) Wollbrink (’79) is teaching at the Lynchburg General Hospital School of Nursing. She and her husband, Larry, have two sons, Joe (19) and Chris (17).

Margaret Heffner (’79) is a member at Hyland Heights Baptist Church, where she is involved in the choir, the baptism ministry, welcome ministry, and living cross ministry. She works as a hospital service coordinator for Medical Associates of Central Virginia. She has three children (Daniel Pausl, David Heve, and Ella Elizabeth).

1980s

Daryl Swartley (’80) is a church planter and pastor.

Elizabeth Dalenberg (’81) is a teacher at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchurg, Virginia. She taught Michael Rocco, who is the starting quarterback for the University of Virginia Cavaliers. He nominated Elizabeth to receive the UVA “Heroes in Education” Award, and she received the honor when Virginia hosted Penn State in September.

John Knaus (’81) is a Discipleship in Action leader. He gardens and runs food services for Central Virginia Community College.

Jane (Snyder) Ortendahl (’82) is married and has four children. She attends Grace Point Church in Newton, Pennsylvania, and works as a real estate agent.

David Winch (’82) has been a full-time police officer for 22 years and a  youth pastor for 31 years.

Martha (Perry) Walker (’82) is completing her master’s degree in nursing.

Randy Richardson (’83) is a builder in Michigan and works with the youth ministry at his local church.

Dorinda (Murray) Phillips (’84) is working full-time for Word of Life’s Local Church Ministries while raising her 9-year-old great niece with her husband, Scott (’84). Scott owns and operates Adirondack Log Works in Schroon Lake, New York, and works with the junior high Word of Life Clubs program at Mountainside Bible Chapel. Dori works with the Word of Life Gopher Buddies at Mountainside.

Hope Compton (’84) is working at Bethel Baptist Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Dave Eger (’86, ’88) has been an area missionary with Word of Life since 1988. He and his wife, Anita (Scott) Eger (’86), have two children, Brandon and Emily. Brandon is in second year in New York now after doing first year in Florida.

John Lingelbach (’88) will soon retire from the United States Air Force and would like to teach at a Bible college.

Kimberly Lingelbach (’88) runs a home day care and runs in marathons.

Ruth (Rozelle) Adams (’88) is a nursery coordinator at her church. She is taking care of her husband, three boys, and a small hobby farm. She enjoys scrapbooking.

Tom Boyd (’89) is serving the Lord in prayer group, Bible Studies, and more. He has been married for 22 years and has two children.

Jason Shugar (’89) is arried to Lynn and has two children, Sarah and Jack. He is a classroom teacher, loves horseback riding, and plays guitar on the worship team at church.

1990s

William Rose (’90) is a missionary with World Baptist Fellowship in Spain.

Jonathan Bunyan (’91) is part of the ministry team at Star 88.3, a radio station in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He Encourages everyone to put God first in everything, whether good or bad.

Elizabeth (Whynacht) Guiles (’91) is a stay-at-home mom. She is involved in ministry at her church with her husband and in a local Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News club.

Ted Whitney (’91, ’92) teaches a new believers class at his church. He recently started a new job at Liberty University overseeing online communities.
 
Jodi Rabquer (’92) homeschools her two boys. She says she is getting them ready for the Bible Institute. She volunteers at a local youth center and would love to have a class reunion! 

Melissa (Smith) Gibson (’93) is a missionary to Portugal with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism.

James Harvey (’93) has been a missionary with Open Air Evangelism with Word of Life for the past seven years.

Christopher Roth (’94) is working at Sunshine Growers Inc. in Lakeland, Florida. His two children attended the Ranch this past summer.

Bonnie (Low) Coello (’95) married Eddie Coello in 2002 and is a first-grade teacher in Amherst County, Virginia.

Tracey Fox (’95) is teaching at Faith Christian Academy in Hurt, Virginia. The Bible Institute came for a school capel, and she would like them to come again.

James Lane (’95) is a senior chaplain in Painesville, Ohio, and is working on a doctorate in Ministry at Baptist Bible Seminary. He has five wonderful children: Susanne (23), James (21), Sarah (18), Rachel (13), and Rebekah (10).

Andrea (Miller) Barnard (’96) has worked at Lake City Bank as an expert float for the past 14 years. She loves to spend time with her family and encourages other alumni to continue holding forth the Word of Life.

Caroline Cahoon (’99, ’00) graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Theatre from Cornerstone University in 2003. She is working as an art director and adjunct instructor of advertising at the university. She is also involved in theater at the university and in the community.

Katie (Westcomb) De La Cruz (’99, ’00) married Eliud De La Cruz on May 19, 2012. In June 2012, they were accepted as missionaries with Word of Life to Guatemala and Belize.

2000s

Robert DeWitt (’00) is the senior pastor at Dalton Baptist Church in Muskegon, Michigan, where many adults do the Word Life Quiet Time.

Amy Harmer (’00) is working in bone marrow research at Indiana University Health Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Larry Berna (’00, ’01) is a pastor at Merriam Christian Chapel in Albion, Indiana. He is interested in missions. Jeremiah 33:3 is his life verse.

Austin Green (’01, ’02) is a fundraising consultant for Christian schools and church groups.

Teresa (Davis) Green (’01, ’02) is a freelance writer.

Hannah Halsey (’02) is a teacher and caseworker at a school that works with children who have been abused or neglected.

Kendra Jenkins (’04) is the office manager of the Business Intelligence Office at Liberty University. She is heavily involved with a missions organization in Kazakhstan and is involved in her local church’s worship team.

Christopher Bowles (’05) is a youth pastor and an ordained minister. He is pursuing his masters in Global Apologetics at Arlington Baptist College in Texas.

John Turner (’06, ’07) is a youth leader and is pursuing a teaching career.

Beth (Lundin) and Dustan Horst (’08) are Word of Life area missionaries in Southern Ohio. They are having their first child in March. They would love to connect with you and your church to see how they can partner with your ministry.

Jarod Burrer (’08) is the director of public relations at Appalachian Bible College.

Zachariah Canfield (’09) is a senior at Liberty University.

2010s

Kathryn Anderson (’10) misses Word of Life so much that she’s having withdrawals from not being there. She says that Word of Life taught her to grow in her walk with the Lord and made her see things that she had never seen before. Her year made her realize how important it is that she be in God’s Word daily.

Samuel Speck (’10) is studying church planting at Moody Bible Institute.

Eric Feenaughty (’10) is working at Tampa General Hospital in Florida in the Information Technology Department as a technology support associate. He and his wife, Jessie (Strout) (’08, ’09) have recently become members at South Tampa Fellowship and are looking forward to being involved in the ministry there.

Cody Armstrong (’11) is studying athletic training at Liberty University.

Jesse Nester (’11) is styduing aviation at Liberty University.

Richard Barclay (’12) is a small business owner. He still considers his year at the Bible Institute as one of the best of his life.
